The diva and the stripes

Mai 15th, 2011 — 10:38pm

Although my sister is a very natural girl, she sometimes can act like a little diva (like we all do). This look is perfect for little divas. It’s eye-catching and extravagant yet modern and fresh. These pictures are the last of our mini shooting. I like these pics the most. Because of the colour combination, the poses of my sister and the light. The outfit reminds me a bit of what Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl likes to wear. Especially the green coat..

It was the first outfit we shooted. But as you can see Oriana striked the poses from the begin like a prof. Thaaaank you, sis! Continue reading »

the lace fairy

April 27th, 2011 — 9:02am

May is usually one of the most romantic month in the year. It’s the month of eternal love and wedding (so chliché). It’s the month when nature is starting to burst in bloom.

To get us in the right mood for this month I thought the following outfit is just the right choice. It’s summery, natural and romantic yet with the bright coral colour of the top absolutely en vogue. Within the scene of the forest Oriana looks like a fairy. Continue reading »

The tricky denimdress

April 23rd, 2011 — 9:16am

To say “my sister is beautiful”  always sounds a bit vain to me, because most of the time sisters resembles each other a lot. But I do think my sister Oriana is beautiful and I can say that without give a hidden compliment to myself. My sister and I don’t resemble each other a lot, except the fact that we’re both half Asian, half Swiss and look younger than we are (good genes, yeah!). And that’s very often the reason why we get taken for one another here in Switzerland. “Asians all look the same!” was a sentence we heard too often. The funny fact is that Asians think the same about Europeans. Continue reading »

the enchanted beauty

Dezember 19th, 2010 — 11:11pm

Once upon a time there was a princess. She was a beauty on her own. She loved nature and animals, and she was good at heart. But she felt alone and so she decided to escape her golden cage. She put on her cape to hide her crown and took her owl amulet, which is enchanted and protects her. And so she went to discover the world…

So long, my golden Autumn…

Dezember 2nd, 2010 — 8:45pm

Winter has definitely come to stay. Begin of the week there was a snow storm in the morning – incredible. I must admit it was great to see it from the inside though I’m not at all the winter type. Continue reading »

black and white

November 23rd, 2010 — 10:43pm

For the second outfit in our shoot with Pinar we chose to go all black and white.

We love to combine soft fabrics with chunky things. This is why we went for the see-through-polka-dots-shirt and combined it with the hiker boots and a biiiiig cosy scarf.

Tell me you don’t envy Pinar for her curls!?!? ….no? …not even a little bit? …com’on!! Don’t lie to me! No one’s gonna believe you!

I can’t deny! :)

Larissa’s fashion comment: These patterned pants are the current it-thing. They are available in all kind of patterns: ethno, snake, leo, leaves and flowers. First they reminded me of what one of my teachers in the 90ies wore. These kind of gym pants for men who didn’t want to follow the mainstream or a one of these pants which were worn by New Yorks Oldschool HipHop legends, also in the 90ies. And nowadays it seems like they landed in the presence and become mainstream (or are on its way to be). I fell in love with them because I’m a HipHop girl at heart and the 90ies remind me of a world full of dreams where everything was possible. Welcome 90ies, welcome patterned pants, welcome round sunnies, welcome backpacks!

Pinar’s nails are coated with Essie no. 335 ‘mambo’. Lovely sexy colour this is! It’s one of about 13 shades I bought last Summer in Miami.  In the US Essie and OPI cost a third of the price we pay here in Switzerland! Can someone pleeease explain this huge difference??

Let’s face the rain with a smile

November 16th, 2010 — 1:34pm

I can’t remember when we last had such a warm and sunny autumn in Switzerland. Gosh, I just love the gentle sunlight during this time of year! It makes you feel like living a little summer revival, when you’ve already surrendered and resigned to the fact that winter has arrived….
